We’re joined this week by Jason where we touch on some often neglected videogame news! He also brought us a pretty special beer.
He brought us a sample bottle of Sam Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA! Currently it’s only on draft with bottles and cans coming in 2016. From the sample, I’ll definitely be picking up a 6 pack of cans when they hit shelves! It’s definitely one of the more interesting new offerings from Sam in awhile.
And, as usual we go down the rabbit hole that is beer…

Style: Double IPA

Notes: Not as good as Rock Arts other offerings, the nose smells a lot better than the taste but it still beats out other non Vermont DIPA’s
Lawsons and Otter Creek Double or Nothing
Style: Barleywine
Container: 12oz Bottle
Glassware: Tulip and Snifter
Overall Nerdsense Rating: 3.5/5

Samuel Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA

Overall Nerdsense Rating: 3.0/5
Notes: This isn’t Grapefruit Sculpin by any means. It’s surprisingly tasty though. For a Sam, you don’t get the normal “Sam Yeast” taste. The grapefruit probably over powers that. The hoppiness isn’t very big as that is also over powered by the grapefruit. Maybe it’s more of a shandy but I like the grapefruit flavor.
