Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #246 Sierra Nevada Bourbon Barrel-Aged Narwhal With Red & Black Currants

We love us some Narwhal but this sort of left us feeling NAHwhal.

Style: Imperial Stout
Container: 750ml
Glassware:Snifter
Notes:We aged this rich, chocolate imperial stout in bourbon barrels with a mix of both red and black currants for a pop of sweet and tart flavor. The deep, roasty notes of the stout blend well with the berries and barrels to create complex flavors of cocoa and coconut with a mellow fruit undertone(9.8%)
Rating: 3.75/5

The local boys, Night Shift, went to NYC and brewed up a collab with Interboro! We got our hands on it!

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #244 Trillium Night and Day

Shaun’s flying solo so that means all the coffee beers!!!

Style: Imperial Stout
Container: 750mL

Notes: Night & Day is seductive with aromatics of roasted dark malt, espresso, caramel, cocoa powder, dark fruit, charred toast, and subtle sweet vanilla. At a soul-warming ABV of 11.5%, this bold, imperial stout drinks velvety smooth with mellow bitterness, silky carbonation, and balanced flavors of dark roast coffee, chocolate, figs, affogato and black cherry.. (11.5%)

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #242 Zebulon Batch #2 For David Lynch

Zebulon!! The name just rings in my head!

Style: DIPA
Container: 750mL
Glassware: 8oz Flute
Notes: A smokey, black ale aged with whole coffee beans. Our grain bill starts with over 60% smoked malt, flaked barley for mouthfeel and brown and black malts for a complex roast character. The coffee from Mountain Air Roasters compliments the malt flavor but doesn’t overwhelm the beer. (7.2%)
Rating: 4.5/5
