This ones a little long so bear with us.
We really didn’t plan on doing a Wicked Weed opinion-piece video but we had a bottle of the 2016 Dark Arts in the fridge for awhile but kept putting it off due to whatever reason. I was grabbing another beer to review and saw it laying there. I mentioned it to Mike and he just said “We’re doing it” or something along those lines. I hope you like this review with our opinions sprinkled in here and there. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Notes: Deth’s Tar is a barrel-aged Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout. It is brewed with a host of wonderful specialty malts, flaked oats and oat malt to impart a rich, silky mouthfeel and deep, complex malt flavors and aromas reminiscent of dark baker’s chocolate, fresh brewed coffee and caramel candy. Bacon Beer! Ok, it’s not bacon beer but we do love a good Rauchbier!

Notes: A lighter take on our Rauchbier, Wilbur is subtly smoky and delightfully drinkable. Often referred to as our “Bacon Beer,” this smoky lager features campfire aromas and hints of cured meat. Lucky for vegetarians, Wilbur’s robust flavor comes from beech-smoked barley malt from Bamberg, Germany… not bacon. It pours a straw yellow (5.9%)

It’s collabeeration time! We’ve got a collab between Modern Times in San Diego, CA and Great Notion out of Portland Oregon. This is Effective Dreams! We’ve had our fair share of tasty Modern Times Brews but this is our first time trying the heavily hyped Great Notion!

Notes: Bright w/Citra’s aroma is a citrus explosion. The taste follows suit with notes of orange juice, grapefruit, and tangerine with a gentle finish. She is dry, soft, and adequately bittered resulting in a very approachable and thirst quenching (7.8%)
