Notes: American IPA – Blue Ox Malthouse is one in a series of pale, hoppy beers that feature malted barley exclusively from local boutique maltsters across America. Each batch contains the same combination of hand-selected, American-grown hops, enabling differences in the malt to shine. For this iteration of American IPA, we’ve utilized grain from Blue Ox Malthouse, a Maine-based maltster continuing the hands-on art of floor malting. A steward of this age-old process, Blue Ox fosters an interconnected relationship between farmers, maltsters, and brewers. Like hops, malted barley conveys significant terroir unique to each region and processing philosophy. We hope you enjoy the journey of this series as much as we do. (6.5%)

Notes: Brewed for the first time in the spring of 2022, our Blonde Barleywine was nestled in the quietest corner of our barrel warehouse and put into a deep slumber for an indeterminate amount of time. Walking amongst these towering stacks of barrels, surrounded by the intoxicating aromas of earthy oak, char, and spice, the space that housed these precious wooden vessels of golden elixir was thus deemed the Gilded Grove. We now present to you several distinct expressions of this wonderful treat. Gilded Grove Ceramic Toast Barrel utilized several imported French oak barrels that underwent distinct toasting techniques before seeing liquid. Layered upon the base beer are flavors and aromas of sugared apples, baking spice, and tannic wood. (10.5%)
